Closing the Gap: Empowering SGBs in the WASH Sector Through Sustainable Financing

Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) play a pivotal role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by delivering innovative and transformative solutions, particularly in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector. These enterprises are agile, closely integrated with local communities, and capable of driving meaningful change in areas that larger corporations often cannot access. However, they frequently find themselves in the “missing middle”—too large for microfinance options yet too small for traditional loans.

Our member, WASTE’s Take-a-Stake (TAS) Fund, aims to bridge this gap by providing essential support to these impactful enterprises.
